Pilots and Petards Podcast 
This show is super interesting. I’m curious about Barry’s fascination with acting (especially considering he’s so bad at it) and want to see how the future episodes develop that. As far as the pilot, the thing that hooked me was seeing someone so devoid of standard behavioral competencies immerse himself into an improv acting culture. Bill Hader is my vote for MVP in this pilot and let’s be real, the Crab X award has to go to Barry’s target, Ryan.

Is it possible that they unintentionally wrote Barry to be autistic?
I’m looking into this. So far… probably not. I’m going to look closer at some of the signs on my rewatch. But I think Barry might have more than just stunted emotional and social development from the Afgan War.
My first impression was that I didn’t believe his character was a real person, as in there are too many mixed characters within Barry. Is he autistic? a psychopath? depressed with anxiety disorder?
