Episode #25: Boy Meets World “Pilot”

Welcome to the Pilots and Petards Podcast! This is the podcast with nothing much ado about aircrafts, and potentially everything ado with first episodes of a filmic series. Join Mo, Drew, and Jimbo as they cast judgement and determine if the coming of age comedy “Boy Meets World” will be hoisted, or not hoisted: that is the question!

Follow their blog so you can contribute to the pre-recording discussions. Subscribe on your local podcast app or itunes. Pilots and Petards are also on twitter, instagram, and facebook.

  1. Why don”t you ever talk about comments people make?

I put Boy Meets World in my I would continue to watch but wouldn’t care if I missed an episode category. I did not hoist it. I thought it was just another comedy tv series, but better than most.

There was a lot of love in our house. We were poor people, had to get our water from a well. We had an honor system with money. We use to keep all our cash in a box, and there was always money in that box. It seems that my youngest son’s lunches were more expensive, but we called it free money. Did I spoil my kids? Damn right. Did I punish my kids? Never. None of my sons would ever fight over tickets no matter who bought them, why? Because I would have went out and bought 2 more tickets, maybe 3.

I worked in a high school for 14 years, and all I can say is you ain’t seen nothing yet. The show had a very thin conflict and dumb plot. Cory overreacted, even though I don’t think two brothers would do that,

And Romeo and Juliet for 11 year old, I am 72 years old and I still don’t understand it. Girl fakes death, boyfriend kills himself, and then the girl kills herself. How’s that an example of love? And why wasn’t it called Juliet and Romeo? Girls first. Moe and Jimbo are romantics maybe they can help me out here.

  2. I disagree. I think boys trying to get girls will certainly ditch their brothers. And the ditched brothers will overreact.

I don’t have any examples. But I used to fight with my younger brother over lots of stupid things, much stupider than baseball tickets to the Phillies.
